Tell me what is not working.

The best first message is not a feature list. It is the sentence you would use to complain about it to a friend.

1. 01 You send this Rough is fine. A paragraph about what is not working beats a spec document.
2. 02 We talk for 30 minutes No deck, no discovery fee. I ask where the data lives now and who touches it. You find out whether this is worth building.
3. 03 You get a written scope What gets built, what it costs, how long it takes, and what is explicitly out. Free, and yours to keep whether or not you hire me.
4. 04 Then you decide No retainer, no minimum term. If the scope is not worth the money, say so and we part on good terms.
